iOpt provide sensor data information services that lets housing providers better understand how their homes are performing and how they are being used with regards aspects such as mould, damp, energy performance, building fabric issues and occupancy.
iOpt was established in 2016 to help our early customers verify whether or not the millions they had spent on retrofit work had achieved their aim. It became obvious very quickly that the data we collected from environmental sensors was also very valuable with regards preventative maintenance and tenancy management.
The sensor data is collated in the “cloud” where we analyse it and generate reports and alerts that allow the housing management and C suite level teams plan and be more proactive using facts rather than anecdotal evidence or speculation.
The number of use cases we have for the data is now so expansive that we work across the whole of an organisation from mould and damp detection to strategic planning decisions on where and when to spend large amounts of capital.
We asked: What do you bring to Social Housing and the customer, the tenant?
They said: Reduced maintenance costs. Better understanding of building performance. Better understanding of building use and occupancy. A more informed and engaged tenant who feels healthier and in control of their home with regards the energy use and environment.
