Since 2018 PayPoint has undertaken significant market research and worked with the wider Housing sector to ascertain what housing associations generally and specifically need in a payments platform, with the aim of developing a “best in-class” solution. We wanted our platform to not only add clear value to our clients but provide tenants with a modern solution that gives them greater options, a richer and broader range of payment channels, and genuine real-time transparency. We undertook face-to-face meetings, workshops and best practice groups and included an eclectic range of stakeholders from Finance, Accounts, Rents, Income Management, Technology, Digital teams, Leaseholders, Shared Ownership teams and Executive Board members as part of this research.


Subsequent to market research, we now provide several Housing Associations with a payment platform that responds to their specific needs including – real-time transaction data across all payment channels, a suite of payment APIs that enable seamless payment journeys integrated into their own front-end, customer facing channels which enable customers to effectively self-serve, and direct integration into HMS systems – updating customer accounts in real-time. Besides this, we’ve responded to the need to automate many formerly manual processes, such as arrears chasing, integration into other third-party providers – such as Voicescape, Open Banking and much more

We asked: What do you bring to Social Housing and the customer, the tenant?

They said: Real-time rent statements (we’re the only provider in the sector, that can offer real-time transaction data, across all payment channels), self-serve DD sign-ups, recurring card/instalment sign-ups and seamless customer journeys.
