Microsoft Dynamics 365/Power Platform Enabler
A bit about Chris
I’ve worked in Social Housing since 1999. The first 10 years were spent in customer service (Contact centre, Housing Management). In 2010 I got my first opportunity to implement CRM 4 at AmicusHorizon and caught the CRM bug.
After working in various roles across the sector I launched #D365ForHousing at Microsoft where I used my Dynamics knowledge to build housing modules (Complaints, ASB etc) that could be downloaded and used for free.
It’s an exciting time for Housing Associations!! As Microsoft’s low code applications continue to gather pace organisations need a partner who can walk them through all the options, keeping costs as low as possible but still enabling colleagues to provide a great service to some of the most vulnerable people in our society. For this reason I set up E&F Solutions in 2021 to work in a modern way with housing associations who want the flexibility to develop their applications as the organisation evolves and not rely on legacy systems, solutions and services.
In the past Associations had to partner with legacy housing/Microsoft suppliers who often tie them in to big contracts with deliverables years later (when staff and the world has moved on). They then pay subscriptions on solutions that they are tied to and don’t own the intellectual property too.
Why do you care about housing
Growing up in Social Housing I could see the struggles that some people were going through. I started working in the sector in 1999 and could see how much good they were doing in our society. I quickly saw how technology could help colleagues deliver a brilliant service and free up funds to build homes. We’re now in a place where technology can really change an organisation, the homes they build and the communities they support!
